Troy United Soccer Club

The Developmental Program is an introductory program for players ages 4-7 to introduce young players to the game of soccer. Through a variety of FUN, non-directional activities and small sided games, these young players will learn the skills required to grow as young athletes, incorporating balance and coordination skills for the youngest players, along with technical training such as basic dribbling and ball mastery, passing, shooting, turning and 1v1’s as players gain experience. The Developmental Program is an environment free of pressure and expectation and full of fun and learning. In the Developmental Program we are not looking for the next great player, we are simply teaching the game through fun and exciting activities meant to stimulate a child’s interest and enjoyment of soccer.

• 8 weeks during the spring, fall and winter (each session requires separate registration)
• 1 Hour each week. (40 minutes skill activities, 20 minutes small sided games.)
• Players receive a TUSC training t-shirt.
• Program is coed.
• All sessions are coached by professionally licensed coaches.

The Competitive program is the beginning of the TUSC team structure, which begins at the U9 age. Players are placed on teams based on our summer assessment/tryouts beginning at the U11 age. Prior to this (U9 & U10) all players are welcome.

• Teams are formed based on maximum roster size allowed, with a maximum of 2 teams per age group for each gender.
• All teams are coached by a professionally licensed coach.
• Requirements in the Juniors Program are the following:
  • Training three (3) times per week.
  • Participation in either SCCYSSA, SLYSA, or MRL based on recommendations by coaching staff.
  • Ability to travel to possible out of area tournaments.
  • Year Round Commitment
